Thanks for visiting and for offering to write in one of my favorite obscure fandoms! Here are a few things I enjoy. I don't expect them all in the same fic, so whatever works for you:
- Banter
- Humor
- UST, I love UST, particularly with certain pairings where the participants haven't realized they're totally in love yet even if everyone else has. I wouldn't mind some resolution to the UST (a la porn!) but it's not necessary if it's not your thing.
- My favorite fics are marked on my delicious account if you want a sampling of the stories I enjoy.

Disclaimer: I'm not a hard-core trekkie by any means, but I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the canon in a general sort of way. My parents love Trek and I've seen all of the movies and caught a lot of the television shows, although never in order and never on purpose (like, watching it when it's on or when someone else is watching it.) I've been slowly working my way through the Original Series because I was so hyped up about this movie and I'm going to continue that... but I'm by no means a purist and I've never really dabbled in this fandom either. But... the last part looks like it's changing because I'm obsessing over this film like crazy!

I took my Mum for Mother's Day and then saw it on Imax with a friend the other day. And I really want to see it again.... I NEED an icon stat! Oh the pain of having to give up one of my old icons...

Anyway, onto the squee!

FIRST!! Things I just unabashedly liked about this film (spoilers for the film, obviously) ( Can we say, 'I like this ship! Exciting!' )

SECOND! The 'ship that I never knew I wanted ( Soo much love and I didn't even know it )

THIRD The female character I never knew I wanted! ( Uhura, why are you so cool? )

READ this post if you're concerned at all about the portrayal Uhura. This post is awesome for all sorts of reason, but mostly because I'm fascinated by analysis of gender and gender portrayals in science fiction and she goes there and is way more eloquent and well-spoken than I could hope to be on the subject.

Also, can anyone help me find a FIC?! I don't even know how to search for it. The Doctor Who fandom is too large. I don't know how I ran into it originally.

Anyway, this fic is almost like a Family of Blood AU, but only in the sense that the Doctor forgets who he is and thinks he's a human man with a wife and children. Essentially, he's been kidnapped and people are trying to steal his brain in a JAR. And Rose, Jackie, and Jack are trying to rescue him, but him being an amnesiac isn't helping matters. Does this strike a bell with anyone?

In other news, I am watching Classic Who with Tom Baker and Lalla Ward. I love Romana II. Love, love, love. I also maybe want her pink coat. Heh.

Have been binging on everything Christopher Eccleston's been in lately!! We were sorely shorted when he opted to play Nine for only one series of Who so I've been researching what made him such an "unlikely... but the right choice" for the character (according to Julie Gardener and Russel T Davies).

I customized it to match the header I made. Pretty simple. Billie Piper is lovely. I stuck with a grey pallet because I'm still new to customizing CSS sheets and figuring out all the color changes was giving me a headache.

I also made a second header. I love the original images. The colors are rich and I just LOVE the look on Nine's face in both shots. His eyes are almost always on Rose, in any incarnation. It makes my shipper heart sigh.

I was bored and thought "what better way of curing said boredom...?" A Picspam about Teyla. I dug through my harddrive and found these lovely images. Most of them are courtesy of a web group that's no longer available thanks to the bigwigs shutting it down. I'm blanking on the name of the site now.
