1.) I officially suck for not giving you feedback on this at an earlier date. I was too whacked out trying to finish my own to give it an honest and solid read. Actually, I've not read most of the entries so far.

3.) I loved the tone of this. Actually, this is the tone I was aiming for with my story for the weirfans ficathon. I'm not sure how well I did there, but you absolutely NAILED the kind of wistful, sad, freakedout, terrified, lost feeling. This world Elizabeth has ended up in is so big and scary and amazing at the same time.
4.) I about squealed when I saw you'd used 'Wreck of the Day' as a kind of basis for this story.
5.) There are just so many phrases and turns of phrase and sentences in this story that I want to box up and put on display as "OMG THIS IS AWESOME!!! COPY IT!" examples. Again, the words create this just gentle, rhythmic cadence to the story that guts you just as it lulls you.
